Compadre is Hiring a Director of Business Development Near Los Angeles, CA

DESCRIPTION

Hi, compadre. We’re looking for a Director of Business Development to lead all new business initiatives across the entertainment, media, gaming, tech industries and beyond. 

As a young, growing agency, you will play an integral roll on defining long-term strategic goals while simultaneously short-term new business initiatives. Typical areas of work for the agency include brand strategy, brand identity design, and marketing campaigns; you will also be tasked with researching industry trends, staying up-to-date with industry news, and interfacing with prospective—and existing—clients to lock new business.

You will work directly with the Partners of Compadre. We tend to wear many hats as a growing agency, so you are ideally a multitasker, can take direction or work autonomously.

KEY DUTIES

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities
  • Identify, establish, and develop relationships with key stakeholders at target companies
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients
  • Work with Senior Management to identify growth opportunities
  • Develop sales presentations and materials
  • Reviewing and routing project-related legal paperwork (proposals, MSA’s, SOW’s, NDAs)
  • Identify industry events, awards, and marketing opportunities
  • Represent Compadre at conferences, summits, and industry events

Since launching in 2018, we have developed brand strategies, marketing campaigns, and identities for clients including Netflix, AT&T, NFL, Amazon, ESPN, Alo Yoga, CBS, and Cisco Technologies.

ABOUT YOU

  • 5 years of experience in strategic planning, consulting, or biz dev (entertainment industry expertise a plus)
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related field. MBA preferred
  • Proven track record to meet or exceed revenue goals
  • Excellent strategic and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interface with multiple levels of management, from C-Suite to business managers
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling experience
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to author and deliver presentations 
  • A proven understanding of entertainment, advertising, and agency markets
