CommunityAmerica Credit Union is Hiring a Recruiter Near Lenexa, KS

Summary

The Recruiter position will serve as a subject-matter expert and is responsible for sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates to fill early career and mid-level roles across the organization. This role consults with hiring managers to determine current and future talent planning needs. The Recruiter role will also partner with multiple academic and community organizations to expand the CommunityAmerica employment brand, identify talent for current openings, and create a diverse pipeline of talent for future opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert and partner with hiring managers to identify qualifications and appropriate recruiting methods to attract talent and present a qualified and diverse pool of candidates.
  • Develop and implement innovative, full-life cycle recruiting strategies in alignment with organizational goals, objectives, and priorities.
  • Responsible for sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for various departments across the credit union.
  • Partner with talent acquisition team maintain partnerships with campus career centers, student organizations, and recruitment networks.
  • Frequently visit campuses and attend functions including tabling, career fairs, coffee chats, mock interviews, and other sponsored events to grow the CommunityAmerica employment brand and engage with early career talent.
  • Partner with community organizations to increase CommunityAmerica’s reach and identify qualified diverse talent for current and future job opportunities.
  • Research recruiting trends and continually evolve CommunityAmerica’s campus and community recruiting strategy.
  • Ensure best-in-class hiring manager and candidate experience programs.
  • Maintain accurate records in iCIMS (applicant tracking system); manage candidate and recruiter workflows. As well as posting jobs, creating offer letters, and partnering with the HR Coordinator Specialist to ensure a successful pre-hire process.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws related to employment.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union's values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
  • 2 years full life cycle recruiting experience
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems. iCIMS experience preferred.
  • Previous recruitment in financial services industry preferred.
  • Previous experience in campus recruiting preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated self-starter with high degree of initiative.
  • Excellent working knowledge of recruiting methods and all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate directly and diplomatically in oral and written forms.
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to build relationships with both candidates and managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade potential candidates in CommunityAmerica’s culture and career opportunities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities through efficient time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to project a high degree of professionalism and present a positive image of the credit union.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and as part of team.
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
