Summary

CommunityAmerica is undergoing a complete digital transformation of our organization to meet the needs of our members now and in the future. The Enterprise Architect plays a key role in defining and aligning technical strategy and solutions to deliver strategic business outcomes.

You will partner with business and technical teams to deliver Strategy, Solution Architectures, Current and Future state Architectures, Roadmaps and Patterns across multiple domains. A successful candidate will have well-rounded experience in multiple technical disciplines, technologies and industry standard patterns. As a leader and influencer, you must also have strong analytical and communication skills and be able to work effectively with all areas of the organization under minimal supervision. This role reports to the Chief Enterprise Architect as part of the Enterprise Architecture team and will be a member of the architecture review board.

Duties & Responsibilities

• This role will work with the business and all technical disciplines to provide future state strategy for multiple domains.
• Develop holistic architecture solutions at the conceptual, logical and physical level\
• Develop Current and Future state Architectures, Roadmaps and Patterns
• Creation and delivery of strategic presentations as necessary
• Educate / Mentor at all levels
• Ensuring HA and Fault tolerance in all solutions
• Lead / drive large efforts when necessary
• Technology evaluations and participation in RFI/RFP/Contract reviews
• Push the culture of innovation.
• Researching technology trends and capabilities, especially in the digital and Financial Industry, and leverage the knowledge to drive the right technical direction for CommunityAmerica
• Perform POCs for new technologies or patterns when necessary
• Assist with analysis for critical production issues when necessary
• Provide technical leadership and consulting
• Review solutions for good design, standard patterns and technologies, HA and drive toward business and technical strategy

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Network engineering or relevant field preferred
• Advanced degree/certification in business, computer science, management preferred
• Previous experience in banking or financial services institution preferred
• 10 years of technology experience required
• Experience with technology solutions in the financial industry preferred

• Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Experience delivering holistic solution architectures
• Experience delivering strategic roadmaps
• Prior hands-on experience delivering in at least one discipline (Application, Data, Infrastructure or Security)
• Knowledge of Security technologies, industry standard patterns and regulations
• Knowledge of Application technologies and industry standard patterns
• Knowledge of Data technologies and industry standard patterns
• Knowledge of Infrastructure technologies and network fundamentals
• Public Cloud experience
• Services / Microservice patterns and architecture
• Messaging patterns and architectures
• Ability to Educate / Mentor at all levels
• Understanding how to design HA and Fault tolerance into solutions
• Ability to lead / drive large efforts
• Experience evaluating technologies, participating in RFI/RFP/Contract reviews

Preferred Experience

• Experience working for a Bank or other Financial line of business
• Azure Cloud experience
• Public Cloud certification(s)
• Digital Experience
• Architecture framework experience or certification(s)
