CommunityAmerica Credit Union is Hiring a Business Development Specialist Near Lenexa, KS

Summary

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for retaining and expanding existing company relationships and soliciting new business from prospective members through its At Work programs. This includes At Work (companies larger than 100 employees) and At Work Direct (companies with less than 100 employees).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for the CommunityAmerica At-Work Programs
    • Call on existing and prospective partner companies, documenting calls and results
    • Provide ongoing support and communication to partner companies and their employees to retain and grow membership through the At Work program in alignment with overall Credit Union goals
    • Identify, research, and engage new potential At Work business partners
    • Manage activities necessary to integrate new partner companies into the At Work program
    • Develop specific plans of action for engaging and communicating with partner companies and their employees
    • Serve as part of the Marketing team, working collaboratively and proactively to ensure that the needs of members and partner companies are addressed
    • Represent CommunityAmerica at events as it relates to the At Work program, as appropriate
    • Consistently assess At Work program processes, procedures and results and provide recommendations to improve program results
    • Provide regular updates on program performance and growth to various levels of Credit Union leadership
    • Work with Regional Market Directors (“RMD”) to support At Work Direct program
      • Assess with RMD branch outreach for tracking
      • Ensure teams have tools necessary to support companies in At Work Direct program
    • Compile and analyze data pertinent to the business development needs and makes recommendations on continued growth.
    • Track on-going projects and assist in devising reports and metrics to provide data related to At Work programs
    • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related area of study.
  • 3-6 Years of experience in the financial services field. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to identify opportunities, pursue objectives and proactively achieve goals, self-starting
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally
  • Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners and organizations
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to develop and analyze complex reports.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and express concepts clearly
  • Ability to think critically and strategically and conduct research.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple At Work initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence across all levels and functions

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Use of CRM software, such as Salesforce.
  • Understanding of consumer banking regulations that impact depositing and borrowing activity.
