Community Resources for Justice is Hiring a Data Specialist (Part-Time) Near New Haven, CT

Overview

CRJ is a unique, 144 year old Boston-based nonprofit organization that provides direct care as well as research/consulting services within the areas of the Mental Health and the Criminal Justice/Public Policy field. Our three divisions, Social Justice Services, Community Strategies, and the Crime and Justice Institute are recognized for their effectiveness and contributions to this important work. 

Responsibilities

Responsible for data entry for behavioral health services into the Contractor Data Collection System. Reports include but not limited to attendance, service delivery, referrals, discharges, and intakes. Ensure the reports are timely and accurate and that program targets are met.

Qualifications

Data Entry Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Working with the treatment team to ensure all reports and services are accurate and timely.
  • Communicating with the team regarding when reports are due.
  • Collecting data from the CDCS system to inform treatment team when reports are due and ensuring all information is entered into the system.
  • Establishing data entry standards by continually updating filing systems to improve data quality.
  • Assist with collecting insurance information for billing.
  • Addressing data inconsistencies by working with administrative staff to locate missing data.
  • Attending to data queries and reporting any major data errors to management.
  • Adhering to best data management practices and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Working with the team to identify issues to improve workflows and efficiencies as needed.

Data Entry Specialist Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a data entry specialist. Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to spot errors with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff members.
  • Solid time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent typing skills and experience working with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
