Community Options is Hiring a Children Services Director (Residential Programs) Near Albuquerque, NM

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 10 states.

We are seeking a Children Services Director in Albuquerque, NM to work with the Executive Director to maintain a high-quality program to support children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in accordance with the mission statement, state and national office standards, and policies of Community Options, Inc. The Children's Director is responsible for the administration and management of the home(s), including safety and protection of children, implementing policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with behavior-challenged children in a group home.
  • Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and support to all Programs.
  • Ensure and oversee safe, clean, and adequate living arrangements for residents.
  • Oversee daily operation of residential group homes.
  • Responsible for compliance with state licensing and reporting standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in agencies fiscal and billing procedures.
  • Recommend any necessary changes in current policy and procedures to the Executive Director.
  • Review youth referrals and coordinates admission across all group homes.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, performance review, and termination of residential staff.
  • Conduct staff training programs and general policy and procedures to improve the organization’s service delivery.
  • Oversee all Quality Assurance/Program Improvement activities with a focus on attaining benchmark activities for all Direct Support Professionals.
  • Monitor and manage overtime.
