Community Memorial Health System is Hiring an Electrician II Near Ventura, CA

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain all physical plant equipment for the Health System’s entire electrical distribution system in an uninterrupted manner that includes the emergency generators and all branch circuits from the incoming 460 volt line to the actual end of the distribution. The Electrician must maintain, repair and service all Health System owned electric motors, switches, starters, controllers and other related electrical gear and switchgear of all voltages up to and including 460 volts. The Electrician is responsible for the proper operation and documentation of all electrical equipment in the hospital and on the grounds.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Current Driving License
  • Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) that is considered insurable under the CMHS insurance coverages
  • Licensed Electrician
  • Five (5) years of electrical experience in operations, maintenance of hospitals and/or medical office buildings.
  • Possess knowledge of fundamental and advanced electrical distribution theory and application
  • Previous experience with HVAC and electrical
  • Current knowledge of national, local and other electrical codes and regulations as applied to hospitals
  • Previous experience with construction management, Fire/Life Safety systems and BMS/EMS
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics with practical knowledge of circuit installation
  • Understands industrial electronics as applied to motors, controllers, sensors, rectifiers, relays, and master and slave actuators
  • Current knowledge of mechanical functions in equipment powered or actuated by electricity
  • Knows proper utilization to test equipment in troubleshooting

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of tools and/or instrumentation used for troubleshooting and repair
  • Previous experience working with plumbing, and mechanical equipment
