Marketing Coordinator

Job Classification: Exempt Salary range: $40-45K annually

The Marketing Coordinator advances the Mission and Vision of Community Human Services by building, fostering, and inspiring excellence in the Agency’s ability to:

  • Serve as the primary resource for housing support, information, and best practices and protocols in Western Pa.
  • Provide exceptional and compassionate social service support.
  • Integrate the voice of those we serve with program quality initiatives and services.
  • Collaborate with and act as a resource for other organizations, providers, and professionals both locally and nationally.

  • Eliminate the devastating impact of stigma through cultural awareness and advocacy.

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the marketing and fundraising initiatives and carrying out specific marketing campaigns throughout the organization and will report to the Director of Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead on all CHS social media platforms including the scheduling, creation, and monitoring of the success of content.
  • Conduct research to analyze competitive landscapes, market trends, and engagement.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, summarizing, and analyzing data in relation to social media and website activity with Google Analytics and Meta Business Suites.
  • Serve as support for the creation of all development marketing materials including print, digital, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Work within software applications such as Adobe Suites and Canva.
  • Plan and execute all participation in external community events that strengthen the relationship between CHS and prospective donors, volunteers, community members, and those that receive our support.
  • Maintain and manage an inventory of marketing materials that support CHS and the programs within the organization.
  • Serve as a content writer and editor of Community Human Services’ website.
  • Responsible for supporting CHS’s fundraisers including the annual event The Big Share, by organizing and planning promotions surrounding the event through email and print communications and social media.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • History of meeting project deadlines and exceeding goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for representing CHS in public, during events, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple disciplines and platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail proving an eye for marketing content and creation.
  • Project management experience and time management skills for managing numerous tasks and projects.
  • Strong computer and software skills.
  • Self-directed, and flexible with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Self-seeking new skill sets and opportunities for growth within the organization.

A bachelor’s or associate degree in marketing, communications, and /or public relations OR related work experience with the associated responsibilities is required; a minimum of 1-year experience in a related field is required.

Position Physical Demands:

The Marketing Coordinator will be called upon to engage in physical activity related to general office work, including the capacity to lift up to 25 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods of time.
