The Marketing Coordinator advances the Mission and Vision of CHS by building, fostering, and inspiring excellence in the Agency’s ability to:

  • Serve as the primary resource for housing support, information, and best practices and protocols in Southwestern PA
  • Provide exceptional and compassionate social support services
  • Integrate the voice of consumers with program quality initiatives and services
  • Collaborate with and act as a resource for other organizations, providers, and professionals locally and nationally
  • Embrace and exhibit the highest ethical standards
  • Maximize and monitor fiscal and other resources
  • Build an environment which is safe, confidential, and inclusive
  • Eliminate the devastating impact of stigma through cultural awareness and advocacy

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts of the marketing and development initiatives and to carry out marketing campaigns. Their duties include researching market trends and compiling reports about consumer needs, creating marketing campaign content like graphics, blog posts or social media posts and assisting in executing marketing events for a corporation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends and customer behavior and preparing reports by collecting, summarizing, and analyzing data
  • Supporting the Director of Development in establishing and evaluating a marketing strategy and plan by analyzing and assembling sales forecasts, updating calendars, and organizing and planning promotional presentations
  • Communicating campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines to their team while providing instructions for promotion use
  • Planning and managing conferences, events, and meetings by identifying, coordinating and assembling requirements, developing assignments and schedules, coordinating mailing lists and establishing contacts
  • Tabling at events that are designed to market CHS
  • Maintaining an inventory and directory of sales support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed
  • Tracking and ordering marketing supplies and giveaways
  • Continually seeking and researching new sources of prospective customers while providing recommendations to marketing, development, and finance leadership
  • Develop and manage social media content
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers for marketing related events and activities

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • History of meeting project deadlines and exceeding goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for representing CHS in public, during media events, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple disciplines and platforms, including verbal, written and public speaking
  • Project management experience and time management skills for juggling numerous time sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with development software.
  • Self-directed, flexible with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills

A bachelor’s or associates degree in marketing OR relevant work experience with the associated responsibilities is required plus a minimum 1-year experience in a related field required.

Position Physical Demands:

The Marketing Coordinator will be called upon to engage in physical activity related to general office work, including the capacity to lift up to 25 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods.
