Community Health System is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Franklin, TN

CHSPSC, LLC is one of the leading operators of general acute care hospitals. The organization's affiliates own, operate, or lease hospitals in 16 states, with an aggregate of approximately 31,000 licensed beds. The consolidated organization owns and leases community hospitals that offer quality, cost-effective healthcare including a range of inpatient medical and surgical services, outpatient treatment and skilled nursing care. In over 60 percent of the markets served, CHSPSC, LLC-affiliated hospitals are the sole provider of healthcare services.

CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Financial Analyst for its Franklin, TN, headquarters’ Provider Services

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports
    • Ability to understand and apply general Medicare and Medicaid regulations to specific hospital fact patterns.
    • Ability to communicate with corporate and hospital financial staff to obtain information required to file Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
    • Ability to communicate reimbursement results of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports to corporate and hospital staff
  • Support Medicare and Medicaid audits, appeals, amendments and reopKnowenings for prior year cost reports
  • Identify potential reimbursement opportunities; including Medicare geographic reclassification, Disproportionate Share, Medicare rural hospital designations, state and local governmental funding programs, Medicaid rate setting, and other critical reimbursement areas
  • Communicate with Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) to resolve issues
  • Communicate with Medicaid State Agency auditors to resolve issues

Education/Experience:

  • BS. /B.A. in Accounting
  • GPA 3.0 or greater
