Job Title: Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Scope and Nature of Role
The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the daily sales and marketing initiatives of the Community First Igloo. The primary functions of the coordinator are to manage group and venue sales activities, create and maintain marketing campaigns, and provide a high-level of customer service to all patrons, groups, and vendors.
Responsibilities
· Carry out specific marketing procedures related to events through advertising, public relations and sales as requested by Facility General Manager and VP of Sales.
· Maintain a variety of files and records of information such as budget, sales and marketing reports, event files, expense records and other related documents.
· Create and manage outgoing e-mail blasts for both marketing and group sales databases for the facility
· Manage social media presence for the venue.
· Manage and direct grassroots and viral efforts for all applicable events.
· Assist with the implementation of marketing programs and promotions.
· Acts as liaison between facility and corporate marketing department to ensure consistent communication between departments and across multiple entities.
· Helps implement group sales efforts as determined on an event-by-event basis.
· Execute group sales marketing goals, both short and long range, to ensure the profit growth and expansion of group sales for facility and future events.
· Assist with graphic design work needed for the venue
· Assist in the coordination of all photographic needs for events and promotional purposes, as well as for sponsorship sales.
· Prospect new groups sales opportunities through cold calling, referrals, and networking events
· Set up face-to-face appointments with key decision makers of community and corporate groups
· Create, plan and execute multiple group events on a monthly basis
· Update accounts on the CRM System
· Exemplify the core characteristics of a strong sales culture, including strong interpersonal skills, prompt and professional follow-through, openness to new ideas and suggestions, and constant enthusiasm toward internal and external contacts
· Communicate effectively and professionally with all internal and external contacts
· Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related field preferred
· 2-5 years’ experience in a Marketing, Sales, and/or Leadership position preferred
· Ability to work effectively and calmly in stressful/high pressure situations
· Ability to multi-task effectively while taking ownership of actions/problems; aptitude to adopt to changes quickly
· High level of organization, attention to detail, and superior time management skills
· Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to build strong working relationships with other departments
· Sound judgment, work independently with minimal supervision, strong analytical & problem-solving skills
· Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
