Community Action School, a Title I DOE school located on the Upper West Side, is looking to hire a certified math teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This teacher would teach two cotaught sections of 7th grade math and one cotaught section of Algebra I to 8th graders.

Our school utilizes the Illustrative Math (IM) curriculum, fostering deep mathematical understanding and critical thinking skills. Additionally, we are dedicated to incorporating teaching methodologies from "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics" by Peter Liljedahl, empowering students to become active participants in learning. We are also in the process of becoming an IB (international baccalaureate) school which will incorporate more project based and transdisciplinary learning into our classrooms.
