CommQuest seeks a Full Time Senior Accountant to work at our CommQuest Metro building, in Canton, Ohio. The Senior Accountant will be an integral contributor to the Accounting Department of the organization and will have a broad range of responsibilities, including the monthly close, GL responsibilities, fulfilling the external reporting requirements, and developing process efficiencies. The individual in this position must possess excellent attention to detail, strong financial acumen, a high aptitude for technology and economic systems, and a strong desire and ability to work within a dynamic environment. We are looking for a candidate with excellent accounting/finance skills who enjoys working in a challenging environment to support continued growth.

CommQuest Services is one of the largest non-profit mental health, addiction recovery, and social services organizations in Northeast Ohio, working with clients from more than 34 counties in 12 facilities through more than 20 programs. What you'll do:

• Ownership of the entire accounting function, including the closing process and preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare account reconciliations, analysis, and journal entries, including prepaid, accruals etc.
• Supervise Accounting team
• Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget and weekly forecast.
• Responsible for various payroll analytical activities, analysis and reconciliations.
• Responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial information, compiling, and gathering reporting information.
• Provide additional support as needed

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm

Minimum Qualifications:

• Highly motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic and 5 plus years of experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
• Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct Accounting solutions is a plus
• Upholds a high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Candidate should possess solid communication, organizational and analytical skills
• Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
