Commonwealth Vector Control is Hiring a Chief Operating Officer Near Richmond, VA

The Chief Operating Officer is accountable for all facets of operation for Commonwealth Vector Control LLC (DBA; AUECOR) and all affiliated companies. This includes team leadership, staff training and development, customer satisfaction and retention, service delivery, operational efficiency, and new business development.

  • Managing P&L - monitoring financial performance and expenses, driving growth, ensuring revenue growth and profit plans goals are achieved
  • Fostering a Professional, Positive work environment which fosters high growth while motivating associates and enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Directly managing the Sales Team and Supervisors 
  • Overseeing Service operations along with the operation manager
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training staff
  • Monitoring regulatory compliance, quality control standards and ensuring safety
  • Ensuring alignment with the AUECOR business model and guidelines, including implementing company programs and initiatives.

Business Development & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Developing and tracking goals, KPI’s, and staff incentives.
  • Develop company SOP’s, Handbooks, Employee Manuals, and multiple company documents.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training multiple levels of employees.
  • Create and generate reports for presentations.
  • Create and conducting employee performance reviews and evaluations; taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Developing, reviewing, and improving administrative systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensuring the office is stocked with necessary supplies and all equipment is working and properly maintained.
  • Processing payroll.
  • Collecting, organizing, and storing information using electronic and traditional filing systems.
  • Overseeing special projects and tracking progress towards company goals.

Recruitment Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers, and managing relocations and intern program.
  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranging travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant to interviews; and arranging community tours.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
  • Manages intern program by conducting orientations; scheduling rotations and assignments; monitoring intern job contributions; coaching interns, and advising managers on training and coaching.
  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the marketing department.
  • Evaluating and developing a marketing strategy and marketing plan.
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts.
  • Communicating the marketing plan.
  • Researching demand for company products and services.
  • Competitor research.
  • Working with the sales department to develop strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying potential customers.
  • Developing promotions.
  • Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Creating marketing collateral (both print and digital) to support the sales team and technicians.
  • Developing and managing advertising campaigns.
  • Building brand awareness and positioning.
  • Supporting sales and lead generation efforts.
  • Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish.
  • Organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
  • Create and organize a calendar of events
  • Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
