The Purchasing Specialist at SRS Distribution for the Long Island Region will assist the regional purchasing manager in generating and placing purchase orders, as well as maintaining purchase order data and interacting with the area branches on a daily basis. This role will assist the purchasing manager with the day-to-day activities: which could include report preparation, reviewing and tracking purchase orders, tracking product levels, and tracking product allocations at the branches and more. Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to maintain these under occasional deadline pressure. Very good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Team player with excellent work ethic. Good knowledge of Agility software a plus. Bachelor’s degree is a plus. Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship for any length of time. Able to pass criminal and driving background check and a pre-employment drug test.
