SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR

Kokomo, IN

OBJECTIVE

The Safety Administrator provides routine and non-routine clerical and administrative support to the Safety Staff onsite. The Safety Administrator may work with sensitive information and will interface with the Safety Director to support the administration and training goals of the department.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Must be able to work independently and have a positive attitude.
• Assist with incident report tracking and associated electronic files.
• Learn safety-specific applications and support field personnel with the use or distribution of reports.
• Provide administration to safety-specific software and mobile application(s); including setup of projects and users.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of training programs using PowerPoint and other software.
• Assist with the preparation of meetings and safety-specific events.
• Document and manage meeting minutes and follow up on deliverables.
• Proofread and correct presentations, training, and manuals.
• Participate in the audit process to ensure files (electronic and paper) are being maintained accurately and thoroughly.
• Other tasks or assignments as directed.
• Scan scantron cards and generate reports regarding information on these cards using Excel.
• This is a 12-18 month assignment on a large construction project site.
• Typical hours are Monday – Friday 7am-3pm with some overtime as the project reaches its peak.

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint is required, Excel proficiency is preferred.
• Tech-savvy knowledge base is required to manage and facilitate user setup and usage of safety-specific software and mobile application(s).
• Excellent communication skills- written and oral.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Attention to detail is imperative.
