Commander, Navy Installations is Hiring a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST Near Harbor, HI

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Salary Range
GS-13: $102,444 - $133,176 pa
GS-14: $121,059 - $157,373 pa

Qualifications:

For the GS-13: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  1. Drafting documentation on complex projects to the media to preclude any controversy.
  2. Finding solutions to very difficult problems, and the perseverance to carry out tasks under demanding circumstances.
  3. Presenting, and analyzing potentially controversial issues in a tactful and diplomatic manner, with professionalism and dignity.
  4. Interpreting local political and cultural attitudes, and the ability to work with various groups with different goals and cultural backgrounds to assist in administering human, financial, material and information resources.
  5. Executing an organizational vision which integrates key program goals, priorities, values and other factors.
