The Role: The Senior Software Developer is a full-stack, leadership position within the Event Engineering Team (EET) of the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). The Senior Software Developer will work with other senior technical stakeholders to successfully design, implement, and support a wide variety of cyber-related environments. The right candidate for this position should have advanced knowledge of the technical requirements listed below, and also be able to implement offensive and defensive tactics into the cyber operation strategy.

Cyber Ranges: Cyber Ranges: CPT supports cyber range programs that focus on improving battlefield resilience by creating operationally representative cyberspace environments for testing, training, and mission rehearsals.

The Team: Command Post Technologies has been awarded part of an IDIQ Contract with a $2.4B Ceiling to provide National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) Event Planning and Operations Support (EPOS). This contract spans across a 10-year timeline with possibilities for extension, and both Lot 1 and Lot 2 award potential. CPT is assembling a diverse team of high-caliber talent 

Minimum Qualifications:

· 3 years of experience with software development and software engineering

· 2 years of experience with cyber testing or training to include experience with defensive and offensive cyber tools and TTPs

· 2 years of systems administration experience

· Expert knowledge of: software development [to include agile software development practices; programming languages; operating systems; networks; enterprise and consumer IT concepts, architectures, and systems (compute, network, storage)]

Technical Qualifications:

· Expert knowledge of PowerShell, bash scripting, python scripting, and C/C development.

· Experience developing web applications using web development frameworks such as Django, Ruby on Rails, Flask, Angular, Bottle, jQuery, Meteor.

· Knowledge of Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP. 

· Knowledge of one or more of the following MySQL, MariaDB, mongoDB, Postgres SQL, or no SQL.

· Knowledge of infrastructure configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.

· Knowledge of one or more continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.

· Expert knowledge of Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, TFTP, DNS, FTP.

· Advanced knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMWare, Docker, HyperV, Xen, Kubernetes, etc. 

· Expertise in building out complex enterprise infrastructures using various operating systems and services (e.g., AD, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, VPN, email, databases, IIS, Apache, etc.)

· Extensive and varied experience designing realistic terrain, including global gray and target environments.

Desired Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree with a focus in computer science, or a focus in computer and information sciences, information technology, management information systems, or a related discipline with corresponding experience and demonstrated mastery of relevant computer science and software engineering topics.

· Master’s degree with a focus in computer science, cyber security, information assurance, software engineering, or cyber operations. 

· 5 years’ experience developing cyber range tools, including deployment automation, configuration automation, monitoring, and traffic generation.

· Experience working with platform development, end-users (operators), and system developers. 

· Experience developing user simulators, which generate network and application traffic to simulate realistic users. 

· Intermediate knowledge of software defined networking and network function virtualization (NFV).
