Summary

As a Journeyman Plumber in the Construction group you will be participate in all aspects of the installation process.

Job functions and duties(other duties may be assigned)

General areas of performance:

• Install and direct installation of mechanical equipment
• Directing/managing Laborers and Apprentices
• Order Materials
• Job Coordination Meetings (Small Jobs)
• Gas system sizing and verification
• Train and mentor Apprentices

Must show competency in:

• Understanding different Mechanical, Plumbing, and Piping systems and how they function
• Vendor relations
• Managing a purchase order log
• Equipment operation- (backhoe, mini excavator, etc.)
• Understanding of Foreman duties as it pertains the labor and cost management of a job

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Journeyman Plumber License

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages, as well as draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Availability and Requirements

Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.

Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.
