Comfort Keepers Home Care is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Community Liaison to join our in home care team!

The Community Liaison position is responsible for developing new business referral sources and maintaining previous referral sources. This position consists of generating sales through cold calling, networking with key influence groups, and relationship-building with key referral sources in both medical and non-medical job environments. Responsible for reporting results to supervisor on a regular basis, discussing successes and opportunities, and revisiting Marketing/Networking/Business Plan.

The Community Liaison will work in both our Spartanburg, SC and Tryon, NC communitieis. It is a full-time position, but the hours and schedule are negotiable. Prior sales experience is required.

Qualifications:

  • Prior sales experience is required.
  • Strong desire to help seniors in need of care.
  • Established relationships with referral sources a plus.
  • This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee will be expected to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned. 

Essential Functions:

  • Makes prospect calls (visits) to target accounts which include, but are not limited to: banks, funeral homes, trust officers, churches, hospitals, physicians, social workers, case managers, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, etc.
  • Schedules and conducts public speaking events. Represents Comfort Keepers at various community events and fairs.
  • Organizes the territory in geographical zones. Conducts at least 40 visits per week – mix of medical and non-medical / new and follow up calls. Must meet sales quotas as established. Establishes a sales/networking plan to use as a working tool, which is revisited and revised on a continuous basis using SWOT analysis. Organizes and supports a wide variety of sales and marketing activities like event planning and community events.
  • Develops a visitation schedule for existing referral sources and care providers involved with the care of current clients to maintain and grow partner relationships. Sharing the plan of care; educating referral sources on the services we provide and closing with Asking “Who do you know?” to generate immediate referrals.
  • Develops and maintains prospects, clients, care providers and referral sources database for relationship management. Responsible for entering contacts, visit information (notes), and activity tags into ClearCare.
  • Attends weekly client care meetings and participates in the development of systems and procedures to improve care coordination, client satisfaction, and employee performance.
  • Teams with the care coordination team to monitor referrals, phone conversions, home visits, new client’s assimilations, and ongoing client care coordination to ensure that growth goals are met.
  • Assist in day to day office operations as needed, to include but not limited to: Prospective Intake calls, care consultations, and client introductions.

Working Environment:

Primarily will be field/community based so will need to be able to endure weather changes. Local travel required. Must be able to work from car as well.

Physical Demands:

Walking, sitting, and standing with lifting limited to files and records typically not expected to exceed 25 pounds in weight. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Extended time at a computer work screen and on the telephone maybe required when in the office.
