HR Generalist - US - Apex, NC
The Blueprint (Role Profile)
Apex Tool Group is looking to add an HR Generalist to support daily operations at our Apex, NC distribution center. This role will assist in managing HR programs and initiatives, talent acquisition and development, and policies and procedure administration in support of the HR Manager, NA Distribution. S/he will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to help promote a positive culture. This role reports to an on-site Human Resources Manager.

The Build (Responsibilities)
•Leads employee relations investigations and execution of disciplinary action up to and including termination in accordance with company policy. Escalates more complex or high-profile issues to the HR Manager and/or internal counsel.
•Implements and enforces HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across three shifts.
•Responsible for ensuring positive employee relations through engagement activities such as roundtables and focus groups.
•Manages timecard and attendance review processes and processes all employee related updates in HRIS systems.
•Leads full cycle recruiting process for all hourly distribution employees, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and offer extension.
•Partners with distribution center leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives and projects.
•Regularly analyzes HR and other data to provide actionable insights to business leaders; recommends improvements within HR and business processes.
•Creates and manages programs to ensure a positive onboarding and orientation process for all hourly and salaried new hires.
•Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws; regularly maintains and audits personnel files and postings.
•Manage leaves of absences including Short-Term Disability, FMLA, Long Term Disability and Worker's Compensation claims.
•Facilitate compliance training to employees as necessary.
•Assists with other HR programs as necessary.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
•Previous experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist capacity.
•Ability to effectively coach, communicate, and influence leaders and associates at all levels.
•ADP e-Time or Kronos experience preferred.
•PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office; Advanced Excel skills preferred (i.e., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
