Position Summary:

Columbine Country Club is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Food and Beverage Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the food & beverage service operations.

Responsible for upholding quality standards in Member/guest service in a la carte dining. Responsible for management of food and beverage operations. Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of dining rooms. Supervise and train dining room staff; manage within budgetary guidelines; develop/implement programs to increase revenues and maintain a high level of membership satisfaction.

Requirements

Job Duties:

  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures including pre- and post-shift responsibilities, setup protocols, service standards, etc. 
  • Continuously evaluates and supervises employee performance and assist in their ability to succeed.
  • Acquires feedback, concerns, and comments from members, guests, and coworkers, appropriately communicating amongst the team to effectively develop solutions, ensure satisfaction and/or implement service improvement ideas and concepts.
  • Duties include but are not limited to delegation of tasks, participating in open/close items, holding staff accountable by checking staff task completion for accuracy, cleaning areas of the club outside of the open/close list, ensuring clubhouse is left clean and presentable for guests.
  • Confirm that all service staff are in proper uniform and adhere to the Club’s appearance standards
  • Trains, and manages service staff in all technical (service) and non-technical (hospitality) aspects of their role
  • Adequately trains staff on appropriate safety, sanitation, food preparation, food storage and alcoholic beverage control policies and intervenes, when necessary, when handling intoxicated members or guests
  • Attends and participates in all weekly department meetings

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Engaging personality.
  • Excellent communication skills with which to maintain and build relationships with the members and guests of the Club.
  • Prior supervisory and operations experience and a basic knowledge of customer service principles, food service, and banquet operations is encouraged.
  • The ability to be on your feet for long periods of time is necessary and availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
