General Summary
- Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces, and all system level requirements to provide an integrated training solution.
- Develops integrated system test requirements, strategies, devices, and systems.
- Coordinates with customer representatives to develop technical requirements from customer input, and then coordinates with subordinates to direct system and subsystem design and development to meet technical requirements.
- Ensures adherence and conformance to schedule/cost requirements and to specifications through supervision of the verification, validation, testing and debugging of solutions.
- Ensures system requirements are being properly tested at a system level
- Formulates/defines system scope and objectives.
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
- Prepares detailed specifications for programs.
- Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
- Supports configuration management, change management, and release and deployment management activities in coordination with the team and customer.
- Supports administration of a Trouble Ticketing and Problem Reporting System.
- Supports development of training materials as a subject matter expert.
- Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top-level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the applications of technology to the current and future training environment.
- Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Interfaces with the customer on a daily basis
- Decision making abilities and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementations
- Provide leadership and mentorship to more junior teammates

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering discipline such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a secret security clearance; US Citizenship is required
- Requires competence with software/hardware design and development of large-scale systems, the application of software standards, industry quality assurance, quality control, independent verification and validation techniques, testing standards, and computer assisted software engineering techniques and design philosophies.
- Some travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in related field or other relevant degree or certifications
- Currently active secret security clearance
- System Engineering Experience, spanning from proposal work to selloff
- Experience in requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation, and verification
- Experience decomposing Customer need statements into bounded requirements; this includes functional and performance (network & computer based) requirements
- Experience with DOD Simulation and Training systems
- Experience managing DOD Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Requirements Verification development
- Knowledge of Atlassian Tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with requirement traceability tools, such as Vitech Core
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with DoD Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management process
