Coloscapes Concrete is Hiring a Safety Officer Near Fort Collins, CO

WE NEED SAFETY OFFICERS IN THE NORTHERN COLORADO/CHEYENNE, WYOMING AREA!

 The pay range is $19 - $28/hr. (DOE)

Duties and Responsibilities in all weather conditions: 

  • Provides needs assessment, safety training (including excavation, confined space, fall protection, material handling, ladder use, power tools, concrete, and heavy equipment) and development
  • Review and update standard operating procedures or quality assurance manuals
  • Monitor safety compliance, and report safety issues and progress to superiors
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and performance at company job sites
  • Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Recognize safe workers and reward consistently safe work habits
  • Conducts, documents, and tracks weekly job site safety inspections
  • Must identify potential hazards and recommend solutions and ways to prevent them from reoccurring
  • Conducts safety meetings and audits to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments
  • Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence
  • Investigates all incidents, accidents, and near misses
  • Responsible for overseeing compliance with all Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Regulations pertaining to company operations
  • Recognize that subcontractors are the company’s responsibility when on our job sites
  • Responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety compliance of subcontractors under the same standard of performance that is expected from Coloscapes Concrete employees
  • Maintain and insure all employees and visitors adhere to the Coloscapes Concrete Site Safety and Health Plan, Accident Prevention Plan, Activity Hazard Analysis, and Construction Quality Control Plan
  • Travel to job sites is required
  • Maybe required to perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

Experience, Education, and Certifications

  • 6 Months Years of Experience in a similar position/industry skills and Continuing Education:
    • OSHA 30 
    • CPR/First Aid Certified 
    • Bachelor's in Safety or related field is a plus 
    • CSP certification preferred
