Summary

The Accounting Representative will support the accounting department with routine internal and external customer service regarding account maintenance, inquiries, and collections. This position also supports the office environment by assisting in routine administrative responsibilities. THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION (20 Hours Per Week) within Colliflower's office location. 1-2 Years of Accounting Experience Required. 

Colliflower has been in business since 1951 and has an excellent reputation for providing excellent customer service and high qualilty hose conveyance products. Colliflower fabricates and sells a wide variety of fluid connector products including hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, metric, tube, and brass fittings, quick couplings, adapters, and accessories. Colliflower has 36 stores in 7 states with plans of additional expansion.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Assists with Accounting and Collection Processes

• Process all customer returns and issues credit
• Invoices and maintains all daily sale orders
• Posts all payments received
• Completes bi-weekly bank deposits
• Documents release date of all shipped orders
• Manages cash and change amounts to store locations
• Makes daily phone calls to assigned delinquent accounts
• Accountable for reducing delinquency of assigned accounts
• Establishes and maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with customers
• Reconciles customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances
• Enlists the efforts of the Sales and Management teams to accelerate the collection process, as needed

Assists with Sales

• Answers and research account inquiries for customers including providing invoices and statements, as required
• Creates new customers and vendor accounts in Colliflower’s IT system

General Office Responsibilities

• Provides back up coverage of other office staff, as needed
• Answers incoming calls, assists internal and external customers and vendors, as needed
• Performs other administrative tasks as directed by Manager

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience required
• Possess excellent verbal & written communication
• Proficient in computer word processing and online applications including Microsoft Suite
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
• Possess great organization skills
• Possess a positive and customer focused attitude
• High School graduate or equivalent education
• Bilingual preferred

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and reach
• Repetitive use of hands & fingers for computer use
