We are looking to hire a Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities Team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Performs basic maintenance, cleaning and organization; orders and organizes supplies
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and repair
• Makes periodic or special inspections of equipment, utilities, and premises to determine repair work necessary; reports issues to facilities manager
• Aids in the proper handling of all manufacturing chemicals and products. Supports warehouse duties such as: physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, placing packages, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling and etc. in a safe and efficient manner
• Provide supervision and direction to external service providers performing work on site
• Assists with setting up offices or meeting rooms for new personnel, meetings and special events; moves furniture, sets up equipment, and arranges signs, displays or decorations
• Provides other miscellaneous facilities support as assigned
• May assist with deliveries of materials or packages
• Returns damaged or wrong products with the help from Purchasing
• Assists Purchasing in resolving deliveries discrepancies
• Completes facility requests, provides aid to facilities mechanic/engineer for daily duties

To be successful in this role your background and experience should include:

• 1-3 years’ experience working as Facilities technician, or Facilities maintenance, Production technician or a closely related field
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and Coupa
• Demonstrated ability with detail-oriented work in a fast paced collaborative environment
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to safety guidelines and work in a safe manner
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability in independence and critical thinking
