RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position’s primary role is to work with peers in the networking team to monitor and maintain the integrity and availability of all data center networks, security applications, and services in a 24x7x365 environment.

•  Create and maintain standard operating procedures, incident reports, and change management records.

• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships internally and with external service providers.

•  Proactively identify opportunities to improve security strategies and procedures across all business units and develop plans to address them.

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, process improvements, and security enhancements related to the achievement of Codero’s business goals and objectives.

•  Coordinate, administrate, and monitor the use of access control systems security tools and intrusion detection systems to identify anomalous events and security infractions that exploit system vulnerabilities

• Other network and infrastructure duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Three to five years of networking experience, or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the requirements of this position.

• Proficient with network management, analysis, and troubleshooting tools.

• Configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting Brocade Fiber Channel Backbones, Switches, and Routers.

• Configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting Firewalls (Fortinet/FortiGate preferred).

• Configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting Load Balancers (Fortinet or Kemp preferred).

• Must-Have experience with the following: 

  • BGP-EVPN

  • BGP in a multi-provider environment 

  • IP Fabric Architecture

  • OSPF

  • IPv6

• Experience mitigating DDoS attacks through mitigation platforms such as Arbor as well as through more direct means.

• Ability to review and understand network device configurations in a timely manner.

• Advanced experience in security of network infrastructure, deployment, configuration, policy management, and administering Fortinet firewalls

•  Ability to deliver clear and concise runbooks, network diagrams, and other types of documentation

• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment

 DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience supporting MSP network environments.

• Previous experience supporting MPLS and VPLS environments.

• Previous experience working in a data center environment.

• Proficient in CLI management of Linux-based systems.

• Python scripting experience.

• NetBox or other DCIM management system exposure.

• Familiar and comfortable with Change Management, Request Management, and Incident Management best practices.

• CCNP or CCNA 

• CISSP or Security

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
