We are looking for a candidate to be part of the Revenue Team and to help foster a streamlined environment at an exciting company. This role includes collaborating with clients, client account owners, and other members of Code3’s finance team to ensure our recognized revenue is complete and accurate. This person will be an integral part of the Finance Team. An ideal candidate will be someone with a keen eye for details and a ‘can do’ work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Play an integral part in the month-end close process including preparation of journal entries and completing other close related tasks on time.
- Reconcile deferred revenue account balances on a monthly basis.
- Review client contracts to ensure we are billing our clients properly and recognizing revenue in accordance with GAAP.
- Collaborate with the Client Team to ensure all appropriate information is captured during the month-end close process.
- Analyze and understand Code3’s services to ensure proper revenue recognition and internal coding within different business units.
- Assist AR Department with customer billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Participate in interim and year end audit preparation and support with both our internal and external auditors.
- Adhere to Code3’s documented policies and procedures to ensure we maintain our internal controls environment.
- Perform self-checks to spot inconsistencies in accounting work and quickly uncover errors in both computation and application of accounting principles.
- Be prepared to take on other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
- 4 years experience in Accounting required
- SOX knowledge preferred
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills; required to communicate authoritatively with all levels
- Experience collaborating with client facing teams preferred
- Oracle Cloud ERP system experience preferred
- Experience working with internal and external auditors preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Advanced proficiency in Excel required
- As Code3’s Finance Team is a remote team, must be comfortable working independently.
