Job Description

At CoBank, our the Senior Corporate Recruiter conducts full life cycle recruiting in a variety of disciplines which may include credit, relationship management, operations, administration, finance and accounting, and information technology. The Senior Corporate Recruiter will draw on extensive experience and knowledge of talent acquisition best practices in order to build strong relationships with business leaders, hiring managers and HR business partners. The consultative approach the Senior Corporate Recruiter provides allows the attraction of top talent and results in hiring the best talent for our business.

Essential Duties:

  • Partners with Hiring Managers to define a recruitment strategy to find the best talent and a diverse slate of candidates that will align with the job, the team and the company. Manage ongoing communication with Hiring Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Drives the full recruiting life cycle from candidate generation through sourcing, screening, assessments, interviewing, selection, onboarding,
  • Sources high quality candidates through the development and implementation of innovative recruiting programs and strategies that utilize best practices in social media and other relevant means of acquiring top talent including career fairs and networking events.
  • Conducts behavioral based interviews and utilizes competency based assessments to help managers identify the best talent for the organization.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities by gathering critical data from the applicant tracking system and surveys.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, HR, or relevant discipline; or appropriate combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of full cycle recruiting experience and/or industry/functional expertise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen in the financial services or banking sector
  • Ability to understand client needs and apply appropriate recommendations
  • Experience working with a variety of different levels of management
  • Proven track record with managing a requisition load of 15 plus and closing req’s with an appropriate time to fill
  • Strong focus on creating a positive candidate experience through building rapport and consistent communication
  • Highly proficient in the use of applicant tracking system
  • Ability to create an effective sourcing plan and execute a recruiting strategy
  • Strategic thinker on diversity recruiting
  • Ability to utilize LinkedIn and other social media platforms for sourcing and building pipelines
  • Effective negotiation skills / closing compensation and offer terms
  • Effective interviewing skills
  • Prior experience working across an organization and various levels / stakeholders
  • Project management skills to assist in managing recruiting projects
  • Ability to create and assess recruiting metrics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Consulting skills including the ability to negotiate, collaborate and effectively communicate ideas
  • Thrives in a results – oriented, fast paced, and stringent time pressure work environment
  • Proactive, independent, and understand sense of urgency
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations and best practices to hiring
  • Demonstrated networking skills and sourcing skills including knowledge of LinkedIn and other channels
  • Ability to understand complex compensation practices and philosophy
  • Ability to maintain confidential HR information
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Compensation Information

  • Estimated Base Salary Range: $80,000-$100,000
  • Target short-term incentive opportunity: 11%
