Job Description The Client Service Representative role will oversee assigned client and account relationships, and act as a salesperson on the designated category and industry. The Client Service Representative partners with clients in their designated category / industry to sell advertisements that connect our products & services with our client’s advertising needs. This role reports to the Head of Industry, Luxury. Job Responsibilities: Sell advertising by utilizing consultative sales methods on assigned categories and specific accounts Develop client relationships through phone, email, and in person interactions May participate in in-person meetings with clients with support of senior sellers (Sales Director/Executive Sales Director) or manager Prospect leads for category Provide strong customer service and develop strong account relationships Detailed knowledge of New York Times editions, products and sales strategies Conceptualize, prepare, and deliver sales proposals for assigned clients Communicate detailed and specific account information to Sales management Utilize Salesforce to ensure accurate forecast and sales pipeline Understand client/accounts marketing organization Understand competitive set and client share of market versus competitors Participate in all trainings and gain knowledge from all available resources, including research and trades, and colleagues Basic Qualifications: 2 years experience in sales or marketing Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM tool Experience in development and growth of accounts Basic understanding of competitive set and client share of market versus competitors Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and/or business experience preferred Strong communication and presentation skills Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment This position is represented by the NewsGuild of NY. The annual base pay range for this role is between $53,391.52 and $57,300.00.
