 Salary: $90,000 per year, or more depending on experience

SUMMARY 

For Critical Nurse Staffing, LLC (“CNS”), this position is responsible for the oversight of State clinical compliance. Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring CNS’s Home Health Agency (“HHA”) licensure remains in good status in the state.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Employee must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to work with others at all levels of the Company, have exceptional customer service, and be completely honest. Other assigned duties include:

1. Requires minimal direct supervision.

2. Ensure all assigned nurses work no more than 60 (sixty) hours per week.

3. Implements quality improvement changes for the improvement of patient care.

4. Oversees state licensure and compliance with applicable governmental rules and regulations.

5. Sets the tone for professional and ethical practices of all home care personnel.

6. Delegates tasks effectively working with and through others as needed.

7. Ensures all State supervisory personnel are hired and properly educated thereafter to a very high standard of expectation.

8. Collaborates with the Quality Assurance Program RN to verify that State patient record(s) are completed correctly and adequately to meet regulatory, corporate, and payer standards and Lead or Co-Lead the State Quality Assurance Committee.

9. Assists with quality initiatives such as Infection Control, Performance Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction.

10. Be the home care clinical point person for all regulatory surveys and preparation, including, serving as the resource for the State Administrator for regulatory surveys and preparation.

11. Serves as a resource to the Executive team for clinical input/feedback for company decisions.

12. Serves as a clinical resource for State Administrator. 

13. Participates in public relations and community activities that promote CNS’s role as an effective provider of in-home care in the DOL OWCP’s programs in the region.

14. Demonstrates competence in home care evaluation and appropriate home care interventions.

15. Ensures complete documentation in cases of separation of employment and the reason(s) underlying each separation.

16. Adheres to the corporate policy relative to reporting of on-the-job injury for workers compensation claims.

17. Provides direct patient care as described in state regulations for RN, in all cases involving nursing services, including initial evaluation visits as applicable and re-evaluation of the patient’s needs on a regular basis, provides nursing services, treatments, diagnostic procedures requiring specialized skills and assumes full responsibility for each assigned patient.

18. Assists in the implementation of changes in the Plan of Care for the improvement of client care.

19. Promotes and maintains client health through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures.

20. Coordinates services for patients, as needed, to other agencies and health care providers as appropriate.

21. Review and audit admission paperwork

22. Will perform chart audits as assigned

23. Reviewing and monitoring infections and other incidents and ensures follow up is completed

24. Completes chart reviews as assigned

25. Ensures that skills checklist and competencies will be completed for all staff upon hire and annually

26. Maintains an overall clinical compliance percentage of 95% or above

27. Maintains an overall utilization of patient care hours of 95% or above 

28. Other duties as assigned and/or as listed in State Regulations.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Associates degree in a related field, current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice professional nursing in each state where patient care is supervised, current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Other Requirements: Maintain current state licensure. Maintain current liability and malpractice insurance, if applicable.
