We are currently seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist to join our team in St. Nazianz. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the CI Specialist is responsible for observing and surveying manufacturing environments to identify waste, variation and opportunities for improvement in Operations/Production. You will work both individually and as part of a team to improve all aspects of the manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Continuous Improvement Specialist - 1st Shift - $4,000 Signing Bonus

  • Establish a review system with managers to discuss methods of improving the productivity of existing systems and processes.
  • Survey manufacturing environment, and work with functional teams of to identify significant waste and variation.
  • Communicate regularly to with employees and managers to insure implementation of proper methods and standards.
  • Perform regular updates on the Plant progress of the assigned KAI’s, and KPI's.
  • Continually review Plant applications of methods and standards for continuous improvement and Best Practices.
  • Train, educate, and mentor employees and leaders.

Rate of Pay: $4,000 Signing Bonus ($1320 at 90 days of service, $1320 at 180 days of service, and $1,360 at 1 years of service.) 

Hours: 1st shift hours 5:00AM-3:30PM Mon-Th & Overtime as needed

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
  • Two or more years of manufacturing or technical work experience.
  • Technical ability including strong science, math and computer skills.
  • Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Superior computer skills and strong technical aptitude
  • Thorough understanding of problem solving root cause analysis
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Must be able to multi-task and coordinate activities across more than department
  • Strong general continuous improvement background obtained working within a plant setting
  • Participated in Gemba activity and applied lean/continuous improvement tools.
