The work would be a mix of landscaping (vegetation management), labor support for the dredge materials containment facility, and general facility maintenance. 

• Polices an area to pick up litter and refuse.
• Digs with shovels and picks.
• Lifts, loads, and unloads material from or into trucks.
• Mows, edges, and landscapes as needed
• Performs other job-related duties as required. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

• Must have laborer experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

• Frequently moves materials up to 50 pounds and occasionally loads/unloads heavy tools and equipment in excess of 100 pounds.
• Occasionally moves/walks about inside and outside of the worksite.
• Constantly position self to bend to retrieve materials.
• Constantly works in outdoor an indoor weather conditions. 
• Assisting with placement and installation of geotextile landscaping fabric.
• Operating corded and cordless power tools, such as but not limited to: drills, circular saw, sawzall, table saw, etc.
• Picking up trash and other debris around the site(s).
• General landscaping duties including the use and operation of gas powered trimmers, pole saw trimmers, leaf blowers, etc; for maintaining vegetation & general facility maintenance.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT

• Required to obtain and wear the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
  • Safety-Toed Boots
  • Class 2 Reflective Safety Vest
  • Work Gloves
  • Safety Glasses
  • Rain Gear (when needed)

EDUCATION

• High School diploma required

ANTICIPATED WORK SCHEDULE

Work will primarily be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

MANDATORY TRAINING

Must complete mandatory training within required time frame.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT 

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
• Must successfully complete a background investigation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
