Osprey Cove Golf Club, located in St. Marys, Georgia, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for a Bookkeeper. Set within a master-planned community and offering a suite of amenities, Osprey Cove was designed by PGA Tour winner Mark McCumber. The layout is a testament to his commitment to establishing a course that is defined by the natural characteristics of the land and river. Osprey Cove has earned numerous accolades and has been listed among Golfweek’s “Top 5 in Georgia” and Golf and Travel’s “Top 100 Modern Courses.”

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper at Osprey Cove Golf Club include:

• Maintains journals, check registers, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventories, general journal, payroll and personnel files, excise tax reports, gambling reports, depreciation accounts and financial statements
• Produces computer reports including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and monthly financial statements
• Collects all cash and receipts from all cash registers
• Manages the petty cash fund
• Maintains employees’ time and attendance, absentee and leave records
• Administers the billing and collection of membership dues
• Provides membership and financial management information for the controller, General Manager, Board of Directors and committee chairpersons
• Ensures legalities of reports, policies, and procedures of all payroll functions
• Maintains membership records
• Determines and sends delinquent notices
• Reconciles tipped employees’ gratuity reports and posts to payroll files
• Reduces gross pay for each employee for insurance, retirement, etc.
• Prepares all appropriate tax forms and deposits required for submission with payroll
•  Provides schedule and other club information to members and guests
•  Sorts and distributes mail
•  Maintains supply of club information for members
•  Fulfills guests’ requests (i.e. places phone calls, holds letters or packages, etc.)
• Maintains supply of inventories for office needs

Required Skills

• The ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
• The ability to proficiently use Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
• The ability to develop and manage budgets and other financial worksheets in detail.
• The ability to read and understand financial statements including balance sheets and income statements.
• Must have a thorough working knowledge of the club’s operation.

• Lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
