SecureEnergy, a Clough Elecnor Joint Venture, has been selected to deliver the engineering, procurement, and construction of Project EnergyConnect. EnergyConnect is a new 700 km 330 kV transmission line running from Wagga Wagga in NSW to Robertstown in SA. The project scope also includes the construction of supporting infrastructure, such as substations and access roads along the route of the transmission line. When built, EnergyConnect will enable future renewable energy projects to connect to the electricity grid The Role You will work with a diverse and multidisciplinary team delivering this major renewable energy infrastructure project. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager you will support the management of cost control across the project during design, construction and project completion including: Monitoring the progress of projects against the agreed approved base line budget and schedule Providing detailed and insightful analysis of all cost and schedule variations Delivering project cost reports against the approved budget Compiling monthly management and client reports Maintaining an accurate and up to date variations register, risk and opportunity log Performing change management to budgets, schedules and forecasts Your Skills & Experience Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Business along with significant experience as a Cost Controller or Cost Engineer working on major projects within the infrastructure and construction sectors from design phase through construction to close-out, along with: Good working knowledge of Cost & Project Controls tolls such as PRISM, P6 and Oracle or similar An ability to identify risks and opportunities with regard to cost on projects Strong communication skills including the ability to work with team members in various geographic/remote locations Good understanding of technical and engineering terminology Strong attention to detail and capacity to meet tight deadlines Combined, the joint venture will provide the skills, knowledge, and history to deliver zero harm projects, bringing world class and proven experience in high voltage power transmission, substations, and infrastructure projects.
