Position Overview
This is a 100% traveling position with an average job duration of 2-3 months.  

Base Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000
Job Type: Full-time, salary

What You’ll Do

Position Mission: The mission of the Traveling Superintendent is to effectively oversee the execution of a project through completion while enforcing safety guidelines, quality standards, and project schedule.
Superintendent Duties:

• Provide daily onsite management of subcontractors and trades workers
• Manage, implement, and oversee all site safety facets as required by OSHA and other company policies
• Procure materials, pricing, and vendors
• Effectively communicate and interact with home office, subcontractors, and clients via phone, in-person, and email correspondence
• Leverage technology to stay connected to involved parties
• Ensure all work conforms to the plans, specifications, and schedule
• Provide daily oversight of project schedule development, updates, enforcement, and adherence
• Willingness to self-perform and execute certain tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Installing equipment
  • Rough carpentry
  • Demolition
  • Install FRP
  • Metal framing
  • Acoustical ceilings
  • Drywall patch and repair
  • Hang doors and set frames
• Coordinate and communicate with applicable inspection officials, engineers, testing agencies, and design professionals
• Manage punch list completion and closeout

The Value You’ll Bring

Desired Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of commercial construction experience
• Able to follow and read plans and specifications
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable means of daily transportation
• Willing to use personal vehicle to travel in the southeast region
• Willing to work some weekends
• Willing to travel 100% or relocate often

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on projects in the quick service restaurants, fuel & gas, retail, and healthcare sectors
• Experience managing crews and/or subcontractors
• Experience working on ground-up and renovation projects
• Able to efficiently operate a smartphone or tablet
