We are currently hiring for a PART TIME Hennepin County Medical Center Laundry Distribution to join our team!
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday
Hours: 2PM-10:30PM
JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Comfortable handling soiled linen in a hospital setting.
• Be able to work independently and communicate with nursing personnel.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Count linens and enter on hand inventory using tablets.
• Be willing to work in a union environment.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.

KNOWEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Basic knowledge of safety standards.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with an attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work and communicate in a richly diverse environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift such as push, pull, and lift.
• Energetic, self-starter.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to follow an established schedule.
• Ability to bend into laundry carts and lift soil and clean linens.
• Ability to push and pull full carts of linen (soil and clean) weighing up to 500lbs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Basic ability to speak and understand English.
• Attendance is an essential function of the job.

The employee must constantly lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Fast-paced production environment - non-climate-controlled environment. Union environment with diverse workforce with multiple languages. Seven days per week operation - weekends required - nights may be required.
