The Registered Nurse Mother Baby will work at a 300 bed hospital continuously delivering exceptional patient care throughout the community. The Mother Baby Registered Nurse will join the Maternal Child Health Services team, primarily working in the large 40 bed postpartum unit. The Mother Baby Postpartum unit offers private rooms that are designed to create a calming, inviting environment for new mothers and their newborns. New mothers have the option to “room-in” with their baby or utilize the newborn nursery. This state-of-the-art unit is fully equipped with the most advanced technology and a postpartum team of registered nurses, nursing support technicians, clinical nursing students, volunteers, and social workers. The department also offers 24/7 accessibility to on-call Obstetricians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Midwives, Neonatologists and other specialists for the postpartum patients or nursing staff to consult. Working alongside a team of highly dedicated, specialized nurses physicians, technicians, and ancillary staff, the Mother Baby Registered Nurse will promote a positive team-oriented work environment while ensuring that quality care is consistently delivered to patients and families throughout the unit. The Mother Baby RN will be a compassionate, yet strong communicator when educating new parents on best practices, delivering difficult news, cross-collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and assisting with new-hire staff education.
The Mother Baby Registered Nurse must have prior clinical experience working on a mother baby postpartum unit and hold an active RN license. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to work as a Mother Baby RN, primarily working the day shift.
