Job Purpose:

Provide ongoing planning, support, service, setup, training, and systems deployment in the following areas: Personal Computers, Windows networks, Application Servers, Azure, Microsoft Cloud products, and Cybersecurity. Serve as backup support for Network Administrator.

Duties:

· Administrative Network Support activities: Responsible for daily review of network logs ensuring a proactive and preventative maintenance approach to network management. Validation of daily network backups, making certain all files are backed up properly and stored for disaster recovery. Maintenance of SQL Server databases, e-mail, mailboxes, public and private folders. Also responsible for administration of user accounts, file sharing, and network and Internet security. Functional knowledge of Windows Server 2008-2019, VMWare, SQL Server, knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, (Azure) Active Directory, Terminal Services/RDP, DFS, Sharepoint, SAN and Blade technology, HTTP, HTML, FTP, LDAP, SMTP, POP3 Internet protocols is required. Will be involved in physical security as well as network security.

· Provide personal computing assistance, support, and setup for all Cleveland Brothers users. Position will provide help desk support to system users via phone, email or walk-in. Support includes, but is not limited to; workstation configuration [setup, installation, configuration, documentation, and training] of personal computers, mobile devices, desk phones, printers, network software, Scanners, and other hardware. As part of setup create user accounts, default printers, and configurations. Maintain and enforce computer, software and Internet use policies. Requires knowledge of Personal Computer hardware / software configurations, Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Client Access/400, various AS/400 connectivity utilities, Anti-Virus Software. Requires general knowledge of various Caterpillar software programs.

· Some travel required to install and maintain equipment.

Skills/Qualifications:

Related Experience: 5 years professional support or computer technology configuration experience.

Education: Associates Degree preferred, substitutable for demonstrated relevant skills.

Hands-On Personal Computing Experience.

Hardware: PC, Printer, and Miscellaneous Hardware setup/installation, upgrades, familiar with Cisco products and components and component diagnostics, familiarity with AS/400 components helpful. Experience with SAN/Blade technology helpful. Knowledge of physical security and Cybersecurity practices also helpful.

Software: Windows, Windows Server, Anti-Virus Tools, Backup Tools, MS Office, Lotus Notes, and Client Access AS/400, Azure, VMWare, M365.

Note: Network Software Experience: User account setup and maintenance, security / trustee rights, printer setup, software and directory maintenance experience required.
