ClementsWorldwide is Hiring a Claims Representative Near Washington, DC

We are seeking a Claims Representative aka Claims Specialist I to investigate, evaluate, and effectively resolve auto and personal property global claims from the first notice of loss to successful resolution, achieving the best possible outcome in a positive team dynamic. This is a hybrid position, with two predetermined days in the DC office and three days remote each week at Clements Worldwide.
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: 
  • 3 years experience in a customer service environment
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to be in the DC office two days each week
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
  • this is an inside, desk adjusting position for auto and personal property claims
  • obtain first notice of loss reports as needed
  • contribute to a highly collaborative team of claim professionals
  • handle an average inventory of 60-80 simple to moderately complex claims
  • collaborate with fellow claims team members to promptly and effectively resolve global multi-line claims
  • make decisions within delegated authority for first-party claims
  • document status throughout the claim process, maintain claims and reports as needed
  • review and assess application of coverage for each claim
  • establish and adjust reserves appropriately throughout the claim investigation
  • investigate losses to determine responsibility, evaluate total damages, reach settlement and identify/pursue subrogation recovery when appropriate
  • maintain communications with clients, carriers, and underwriters
  • answer customer calls and emails in shared queue(s)
  • other related duties as assigned
