Responsibilities:
As a Talent Development Specialist, you will serve as an integral member of the Organizational Development team at Clemens Food Group. You will be leading the new hire onboarding program and ensuring our ongoing training and development programs are executed to a high standard. Engaging and promoting an ongoing culture of learning is the model that supports our Team Members to grow, develop and thrive in their roles at Clemens. Organizational Health Activities
Ensure onboarding practices are effective and recommend new approaches to maximize resources while enhancing team member experience
Drive engagement initiatives as outlined by the Org Dev Manager and the business
Serve as Organizational Development liaison in specific work location
Identifies needs for improvement in engagement, training and drives projects related to closing the gap

New Hire Onboarding
Coordinate and present new hire orientation on a weekly basis
Collect new hire paperwork, ensure all paper work is completed in orientation
Set up room in preparation for orientation
Execute progressive discipline & enforce disciplinary process and hold team members accountable to clearly defined performance expectations during orientation
Ensuring new team members are supplied with proper PPE and safety knowledge to perform their job effectively in a safe manner
Maintain onboarding touchpoints with new hires throughout first 30 through 90 days of hire to ensure proper connection and knowledge transfer, remediate on any skills learnings during that time.
Drive positive candidate experience and maintain relationships post orientation with team members and supervisors

Learning and Curriculum Development
Oversee creation and implementation of plant training curricula, including content in frontline leadership courses.
Facilitate train the trainer sessions and serve as SME/ training consultant to management
Support in the designing of training content to fit specific business needs
Be knowledgeable on best practices for adult learning in a fast paced quickly adaptive environment
Upload content to LMS and enroll learners
Tracking and Reporting on Training status from LMS
Working with business partners to understand training needs (safety, operations, trades, warehouse, etc.)
Assist with formatting and recording of trainings to ensure consistency of CFG content
Ensure compliance training metrics are being met with area owners
Support execution of development programs
Develop mentorship structure and opportunities around program needs organizationally
Support the BRG programs and ensure cross functional involvement

Team CFG
Attend and participate in departmental weekly meetings
Assist with translating of presentations, documents, and event communications
Reinforce the core competencies, key expectations, and core values
Participate in company training events
Make recommendations for improvements on HR processes
Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate for this position will be a dynamic public speaker with excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent research, writing and organization skills are also essential.
  • Must enjoy working with a diverse group of employees across multiple professional disciplines and at various levels within the organization.
  • At least 3-5 years experience in Learning and Organizational Development
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field
  • Ability to think outside the box- a continuous improvement mindset
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with all team members
  • Strong computer experience and knowledge of systems
  • Experience in Adult Learning models/methods
  • Formal training and/or certifications in training or development preferred
