Cleco Support Group LLC is Hiring an IT Project Manager (Hybrid) Near Pineville, LA

Role Purpose The IT Project Manager is an experienced professional with a knowledge of and experience in Project Management principles, practices, concepts, and theories. This position will focus on maximizing the value of Cleco’s information technology investments by successfully managing technology projects including major system enhancements, new system implementations, and upgrades of existing systems. Responsible for managing technology and business small to large sized projects with business partners, technology resources and external vendor resources, utilizing both agile and waterfall project management methods. Coordinate with business partners from various departments to ensure deliverables of each project are executed within the applicable scope and approved budget. Responsible for effective communication via weekly status meetings and reports. Continued focus on Corporate and Information Technology initiatives as it relates to project delivery. Key Responsibilities Champions a corporate culture which emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence. Lead and manage technology and business projects with business partners, technology resources and external vendor resources Develop project plans which include resource and budgetary needs Coordinate and maintain project schedules, resources and budgets for assigned projects in order to achieve deliverables adhering to schedule Maintain effective and constant communications via status meetings and reports with the project team, sponsor and other stakeholders to discuss project goals and progress Build positive working relationship with project team Coordinate and communicate with various parties (including vendors, consultants, business partners, and resources within other departments) as needed Anticipate project issues and coordinate with team members to provide timely resolutions Conduct risk assessments, document project risks and coordinate corrective action to minimize their impact Review project team deliverables for content and quality Works closely with the project team to remove any impediments or roadblocks Management of project financials and variance analysis and reporting Conduct post project evaluations in order to learn for future projects Plan and conduct assignments, generally involving strategic projects or work on complex projects by applying new and unique approaches Qualifications Required Education, Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Project Management or Business discipline) 3 years of related experience in project management preferred Strong knowledge of project management processes, such as Waterfall (required), Agile and Scrum (preferred) Experience with project management software (e.g. Service Now PPM, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, etc. preferred) Experience in cost controls, scheduling, and IT solution management Strong business acumen pertaining to the Utility industry preferred Knowledge of leading practices in project management methodology Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, present ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner Progression to this level is strictly restricted based on critical individual capabilities and business requirements; must be supported by market survey data. Licenses and Certifications PMP, PSM or ACP certification preferred Flexible full-time or hybrid work arrangements available.
