POSITION TITLE: Engineering Associate

REPORTS TO: Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Team Lead

SUPERVISES: N/A

EXEMPT OR NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt

PERCENTAGE OF FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT: Full Time and/or Part Time

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: No Physical Limitations

Possess the following attributes and abilities to:

• Lift up to 50lbs to waist level - Frequently.
• Lift up to 20lbs to shoulders and above head Frequently.
• Walk/stand for long periods of time - Frequently.
• Maneuver safely on uneven terrain or in tight spaces - Frequently.
• Safely climb ladders when needed Frequently.
• Squat, bend, kneel, twist and reach - Frequently.
• Reach above the shoulders - Frequently.
• Push and pull larger equipment Frequently.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to changing weather Frequently.
• Work indoors, under cover without air conditioning or heat Frequently.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position is responsible for maintaining all CMA owned or leased buildings. This position requires interdepartmental coordination within operational needs and goals of CMA.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Complete daily work orders and projects as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor or Facilities Manager
• Replace light bulbs, light ballasts, ceiling tiles, and HVAC filters
• Basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical, masonry, mechanical, and painting skills needed to perform assigned tasks
• Perform general maintenance for other departments including moving furniture
• Install decorations and banners multiple times of the year for various departments within CMA
• Coordinate projects and repairs with other departments to provide a safe working environment for all staff, guests, and animals
• Utilize power tools in a safe manner to achieve satisfactory completion of daily assigned work orders
• Fabricate various materials to safely achieve assigned work orders
• Operate heavy equipment in a safe manner to perform daily assigned work orders
• Properly and safely provide preventative maintenance on all facilities related equipment
• Able to operate heavy equipment when necessary
• Provide excellent customer service to all staff, guests, and volunteers, while performing daily assigned duties
• Clean all the security cameras as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor
• Additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid FL drivers license
• Minimum 2 years practical construction experience
• Working knowledge of general building operation and support systems
• Basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, masonry, HVAC, and carpentry skills
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
