• Developing analytical models using statistical analysis, data mining, and/or machine learning
• Researching, developing, implementing, and utilizing statistical methods and strategies to address tactical and strategic problem sets, while working with a technical team and business owners
• Providing client guidance and support in the development of data science platform capabilities, data quality metrics, and metadata capture
• Developing standardized evaluation and validation frameworks for current and future machine learning work
• Developing and maintaining machine learning software components and micro services
• Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets.
• Make and communicate principled conclusions from data using elements of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and application specific knowledge.
• Through analytic modeling, statistical analysis, programming, and/or another appropriate scientific method, develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing, exploring, and assessing large datasets.
• Translate practical mission needs and analytic questions related to large datasets into technical requirements and, conversely, assist others with drawing appropriate conclusions from the analysis of such data.
• Effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Make informed recommendations regarding competing technical solutions.

Required Experience
Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience. An Associate’s degree plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Demonstrated experience in any of the two subject areas: mathematics/statistics, computer science, domain expertise/analysis, and or the following,

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph
• An active and current government clearance is required to be considered for this work
• A Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field may be substituted for the required years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a quantitative or technical field of study, such as: Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physical Science, Engineering or Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
