Job Summary: The Project Engineering Manager will manage all capital projects including design, construction, and commissioning of manufacturing expansion.

Essential Functions:

• Create, develop, and implement new project management and justification system for the SOS Manufacturing facility
• Project management and customer PR for domestic and international machine field installation
• Work directly with operations and maintenance to procure equipment to support the operations of two facilities
• Develop annual capital projects list and reviewed plans and specifications for compliance with appropriate codes and corporate requirements
• Manage all capital projects including design, construction, and commissioning of manufacturing expansion
• Implement system redesigns for Lean process improvements and retrofitted existing equipment to improve automated equipment reliability and process rates
• Design, develop and implement tooling, equipment, and process improvements to enhance manufacturing safety, efficiency, and productivity
• Perform time studies and process improvements within the facility
• Collaborate with Maintenance Group in support of facility maintenance initiatives
• Plant Engineering Manager responsible for Facility Maintenance, Capital Program, Environmental
• Develop and manage annual and capital budgets for utilities and facility maintenance
• Implemented preventative maintenance programs and work to eliminate major start-up issues, prolong capital equipment and reduce cost
• Implemented cost reductions, budget guidelines
• Computer Skills: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) technology

Work Environment: Continuous facility work required where there is potential for noise, dust, rain, hot and cold temperatures. Climbing, walking, and lifting will be normal daily requirements.

Physical Demands: 

• Must be able to traverse the production facility, accessing and navigating all areas in the facility and access all machinery.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

Requirements

 Required Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related field, required
• 8 years of relevant experience required 
• Plant or field experience is preferred
• Project Management experience is preferred
• Professional Engineering (PE) license highly preferred.
