Position Title: Product Manager (UX)

Supervisor: Senior Vice President Strategy and Impact

Department/Division: Strategy & Impact

Hours: 40 hours workweek (exempt)

Location: Washington, DC / Remote

Salary Range: $86,000 - $130,000

Position Overview

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Impact and fits into an expanding team responsible for all CEBA’s digital systems affecting member experience and digital persona. This role is responsible for the digital workstreams, process management, and people management. This person will work directly in the Strategy and Impact team, including collaborating closely with CEBA’s Marketing & Communications and Membership & Philanthropy groups to ensure cohesion across all functions. In addition, this person will be a crucial connection into the programmatic teams to ensure cohesion across all CEBA teams from a digital perspective.

This position will develop, maintain and manage CEBA’s digital experience, to include active evolution of key digital systems, assets, and processes at the organization. The Digital team is responsible for ensuring both internal and external systems and processes are optimized for both internal staff and member-facing experiences, all aligned to our vision of a resilient, zero-carbon energy system where all organizations have a viable path to Clean energy.

The ideal candidate must be able to maintain a simultaneous focus on task implementation, the overall project objectives, and strategy development with the Senior Vice President.

Core Responsibilities:

  • The Product Manager (UX) will have the responsibility to help define the User Experience for CEBA products and coordinate with Program Managers and Facilitators to implement a best-in-class User Experience for members and employees. 
  • Be the architect of CEBA’s product offerings and the key driver of product line success and adoption by members of the CEBA community. 
  • Ensure members’ digital engagement experience continues to increase through new product development and ongoing maintenance, and that new products are well tested, performant, scalable, and delivered on time.
  • Design of a strong user experiences that make CEBA’s digital products attractive to use, maximize engagement, and act as a professional gateway to CEBA services.
  • Act as primary liaison between the Digital team and internal external stakeholders, building buy-in on major decisions and strategy, and maintaining channels for progress monitoring/management.
  • Direct the Digital team to grow/develop a strong group that are operating at the top of their abilities.
  • Work closely with the Strategy and Impact team to ensure that any systems and process development is optimized with entire ecosystem of CEBA infrastructure, including both current and future-anticipated systems and processes, especially collaborating with the Marketing & Communications and Membership & Philanthropy teams to maximize impact and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and present findings and articulate design rationale.
  • Plan and conduct user research; translate quantitative and qualitative data into sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, mockups, comps, and prototypes.
  • Advanced knowledge of user-centered design principles, visual design, user behavior, interactions, and brand.
  • Conceptualize solutions and partner with designers and engineers to create clear, usable interfaces.
  • Create network with other product managers, editors, and industry experts to transform product concepts and visions into design prototypes & specifications
  • Conceive, nurture, direct and create conceptually compelling and highly functional product design across all digital forms.
  • Support program development: Help evolve and execute team processes, regular internal and external tracking and update documents, and ensure team information and processes are well-organized to support maximum impact.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities 

  • Oversee 1 direct report

Required:

  • Master’s degree and 7 years’ relevant experience or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience managing people

Additional:

  • Experience owning specific workstreams, managing teams, and program management at a corporation, trade association, non-profit organization, or philanthropic foundation.
  • Experience with digital product analysis tools such as Mixpanel, UXCam, Adobe Analytics.
  • SCRUM/Agile Development experience.
  • Familiarity with React, JavaScript, Rails, Ruby is a plus.
  • Expertise in Axure, Adobe XD Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, Invision, Principle and/or other visual design, prototyping, and wireframing tools.
  • Proficient in project management tools including JIRA, Smart Sheets, and Google Suite. The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment as well as independently driving the work forward.
  • Experience with corporate clean energy procurement preferred
