Clarity Software Solutions is Hiring a Remote Technical Product Owner

Technical Product Owner
The Technical Product Owner is assigned to strategic projects as part of the Platform team that align with business priorities. The Technical Product Owner is responsible for the analysis and documentation of requirements and provides support to the architecture and software engineering teams. This role provides continued support on the project throughout testing, production deployment and maintenance. The Technical Product Owner reports to the Director of Software Engineering.

Essential Functions
• Work with Client Strategic Services to understand project purpose, scope and alignment
• Collaborate directly with Client Strategic Services to establish project deliverables, dependencies, and due dates, and continually assist in identifying and mitigating risks that may impact the project 
• Identify and engage project stakeholders to understand their business needs
• Compile business needs into an organized business requirements document 
• Capture current and future state and perform gap analysis
• Express system functionality and behavior through the use of workflow diagrams and/or use cases
• Communicate requirements to the SW and IT resources and provide input during solution design
• Assist the QA team in identifying test scenarios and expected results to ensure test coverage 
• Monitor the status of QA testing and assist in defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution
• Prepare test plan and expected results for user acceptance testing and identify, educate, and support testers throughout the course of UAT
• Assist in migration planning and validation of migration from environment to environment
• Identify educational needs and work with the technical writing and training teams to produce documentation (user guides, training manuals, and production release communications)
• Other duties as assigned by management

Education
• BA/BS degree 

Knowledge & Experience
• 5 years of related experience and in a software development environment
• Experience working with and analyzing large datasets
• Broad working knowledge of enterprise systems technology 
• Experience working with financial systems, preferably NetSuite
• Experience defining graphical user interface rules and behavior
• Experience working within the health care industry is a plus
• Working knowledge of MySql and Java preferred
• Basic understanding and knowledge of XML is a plus
• Strong competency with standard MS Office applications

• Must be able to sit at a desk 80 percent of the time

• Must be able to operate a computer and other office products (i.e. a computer printer)
• Must be able to frequently communicate via telephone
