Clarity Software Solutions is Hiring a Compliance Specialist Near Stratford, CT

Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist will provide daily administrative support to the compliance team. The Compliance Specialist will also assist with improving processes and procedures related to HITRUST and SOC2 certifications. The Compliance Specialist will effectively interface with clients, vendors, and internal teams in and outside the department. The Compliance Specialist reports to the Director of Compliance and Release Management.

Essential Functions

  • Provides administrative support which includes making copies, scanning documentation and answering emails while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Ensures proper procedures and approvals are received for change management
  • Facilitates client and vendor requests, including correspondence, scheduling milestone events
  • Assists with populating attestations, questionnaires, audits, and requests for information
  • Manages internal policy and procedure reviews
  • Maintains meeting agendas and meeting minutes, including actionable items in a common group repository
  • Implements and documents administrative processes and procedures for more efficient workflow
  • Submits and maintain monthly OIG searches for employees
  • Ensures visitor check in and facility security protocols are followed
  • Coordinates and participates in quarterly security meetings
  • Main Point of Contact for Compliance products and service vendors
  • Supports the team with compliance reporting requirements
  • Document and maintain OSHA illness and incident reports
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education Required

  • Associates degree required; BA/BS degree preferred

Knowledge & Experience

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience, experience in healthcare and OSHA compliance a plus
  • Experience with healthcare technology preferred
  • Exposure with and working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations, state privacy laws, as well as CMS/Medicare/Medicaid requirements, a plus
  • Knowledge of SOC2 and HITRUST audits a plus
  • Working understanding of IT and Infrastructure acronyms and definitions
  • Proficient in MS Office suite

  • Aptitude to learn quickly

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit at a desk 85 percent of the time
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access office equipment
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to frequently communicate via telephone and in meeting rooms
  • Position is on-site at a manufacturing facility.
