Clarion Events North America is Hiring a Remote Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer plays an essential role in our overall content creation and management. This position will serve as a proven expert in online education with experience in developing an online training curriculum to help build an extensive library of content. This person should be a highly self-motivated and driven instructional designer and will show great skill in creating, editing, and improving online course materials.

Ideal candidates have adult learning and instructional design foundations. The role will have various eLearning tools to author new content and ensure consistent content quality across a wide range of formats. Qualified applicants should have experience using multiple authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline and Rise.

How you’ll make an impact:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create quality eLearning course material, including course design documents, course outlines, course descriptions, slides, diagrams, interactive exercises, videos, and assessments.
  • Project manage the course development process through review and updates with project sponsors and SMEs.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to enhance and modify existing course designs and storyboards.
  • Design assessments and activities to enhance learner engagement and assess knowledge transfer.
  • Video scriptwriting and production experience are a plus.

Requirements:

  • Three years' experience working with ID tools or creating e-learning courses (must provide a portfolio of work)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Instructional Technology, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in technology - using computers, web browsers, outlook, excel, and the ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Willingness to work additional hours outside of the established work hours when needed (i.e., for sales demos or at events/conferences)
  • Competency in Instructional Design Models (ADDIE, SAM)
  • Project Management Software (Monday.com or other tools)
  • Learning Management Systems
  • Course Authoring tools Rise and 360 (Advanced)

Preferred: 

  • Graphic Design/ Video Production Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro
  • SAAS background
