We are looking for a Senior Product Manager and a Lead for our Consumer Banking squad to help delight Clair customers with a one-of-a-kind digital banking experience. Our customers come across Clair at their workplaces, embedded in the workforce management or payroll systems they use each day. Leading the Banking Squad, you are tasked with attracting and retaining as many of these customers as possible. With a squad of designers, engineers and soon marketers, you will be responsible for shipping features and telling the right consumer story that moves the needle on our core business KPIs: Conversion, ARPU, & Retention. You will drive forward your squad’s product development lifecycle from ideation to delivery/validation, working directly with our users at every step of the way. As an internal leader at Clair, you will collaborate closely across the company, discovering issues faced by our customers and business opportunities for Clair, helping us deliver on our mission to make hourly workers financially free.

Our ideal candidate has a track record of success in creating and owning direct to consumer FinTech products in a competitive space, specifically in neobanks, cards and/or payments. This Senior PM will have a strong background in product management and product marketing and be well versed in building financial products in partnership with a diverse range of stakeholders. The Senior PM will be responsible for the strategy and roadmap for their product in collaboration with our stakeholders.

You will succeed in this role if you are extremely curious and relentlessly focused on speaking with and understanding Clair’s customers. . You are a proactive and clear communicator, experienced in collaborating across teams. You are responsible for the success of your product, even if you don’t control all the teams contributing to that success. So, you must be comfortable influencing and leading your colleagues by building relationships and leveraging data. Through strong collaboration, you should be able to create alignment and execute relentlessly. 

What you’ll do

• Drive adoption and engagement of Clair’s Spending Account by delivering value to prospective and current customers via Clair’s banking features
• Champion Clair’s product strategy, creating alignment and enthusiasm with your squad
• Radically prioritize product initiatives based on learnings from time spent with users and the business needs
• Lead the product development process within your squad, from ideation to evaluation, driving effective teamwork and open communication to maintain high development velocity
• Keep your internal and external stakeholders in the know on what you’re shipping
• Be a product expert, understanding your internal and external dependencies for each initiative
• Drive effective teamwork and open communication, both within your squad and with the rest of the company
• Manage, train, and develop more junior product managers 
• Provide continuous feedback to other members of the Clair team, helping them grow in their role
• Collaborate with the other squad product leaders to ensure alignment across the entire Clair product

To be successful in this role you should possess the following abilities 

• Be mission oriented and able to foster empathy for customers whose circumstances may be different from your own
• Have a bias towards action - you love taking the lead on challenging problems and hate sitting still
• Be curiosity to learn about complex systems and problems 
• Have strong analytical skills and experience running and hypothesis-driven experiments and evaluating their results
• Excellent communicator, in both written and verbal form
• Strong collaboration in team environments, but able to act quickly as the decision-maker

Required Experience/ Qualifications: 

• 4-8 years of product management experience, ideally in FinTech, banking, or other mobile B2C technology 
• Previous experience at a fast-growing startup
• Experience leading product squads or teams, and managing others
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, with comfort working in an agile environment 
• Minimum education of bachelor degree, or equivalent
