We've got a tremendous opportunity for someone to showcase their strengths in: leading a shipping/receiving team, ability to plan ahead for all shipping and receiving activities, managing reporting to customers, and excellent customer service skills.
They will also work closely with the Operations Manager, Production Planner and other plant personnel to help maintain an efficient, safe warehouse. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other Duties may be assigned.

1. Safety / Environmental
   • Brings all safety / environmental / quality concerns to the attention of the appropriate department manager immediately.
2. Shipping/Receiving
   • Follows all work instructions outlined in QWI-1 (Shipping) and QWI-2 (receiving) and all other applicable plant policies and procedures.
3. Review Reports
   • Working in conjunction with the Shipping/Receiving Clerk, reviews the following reports daily:
     • Open Sales Orders
     • Open Purchase Orders
     • Available to Ship
4. Other Duties / Responsibilities
   • Maintains and updates the shipping / receiving schedule.
   • Maintains relationship with trucking dispatchers.
   • Responsible for calling trucking dispatchers to schedule trucks for shipments and confirm shipments arranged by customers.
   • Responsible for accurately filed paperwork on a daily basis.
   • Supplies co-workers, scheduler, and operations manager with information regarding scheduled shipments and receipts.
   • Manages inventory at 701 Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd
   • Reports daily shipping and receiving information to internal and external customers.
   • Inputs shipping and receiving data for customers (SAP) where required.
   • Assists with inventory control as needed/requested.
   • Assumes duties / responsibilities of Shipping / Receiving Clerk in their absence.
   • Assists with invoicing as needed/requested

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Direct supervision required, shipping/receiving operators and shipping/receiving clerks

Qualifications

• Minimum:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Meets minimum Work Key Scores for the department
• Preferred: 
  • Bachelor of Science Degree with minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry
  • Background in logistics and accounting are a very strong plus
  • 2 years experience in a supervisory role
  • Work Key Scores above those for required for the department

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Bills of Lading, Purchase Orders, MSDSs, manufacturing sheets, and packaging sheets. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and visitors.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and interpret scales.
